Greg Robertson
Greg started taxidermy as a taxidermy project in high school in the mid 1980’s. After practicing for a few years he opened Robertson’s Taxidermy in 1989. He competed and was very successful at international and world taxidermy competitions and the business grew to providing taxidermy services to many people from around the world. He recently found a passion for natural wood and resin art and the combination of those skills with taxidermy created many unique original displays for the gallery. Visitors will be able to witness an abundance of original displays by this amazing artist including beavers, wolves, foxes, northern weasels, lynx, black bears, grizzlies, and birds!

Dean Robertson
Dean Robertson has always been interested in nature from a young age and new he wanted to work with animals. He started practicing taxidermy as a hobby in the later 1980’s and went off to University to study ecology and zoology. His education landed him a wildlife job with the government of the northwest territories which provided a huge spread of experience with animals found in the north. After practicing taxidermy, working for his brother, and competing in international and world taxidermy competitions he eventually opened a full- time art business called Robertson Artworks. His combined experiences with northern wildlife and the art of taxidermy lead to many of the displays at the gallery. The large displays of ungulates, the grolar bears, and many of the hawks, owls, and ducks were produced by this amazing artist!

Verca Slaba
Verca is an apprentice taxidermist working for the gallery. She graduated with a degree in microbiology and moved north to give taxidermy a try. She has shown exceptional progress in taxidermy in only one year with no formal training and has many beautiful mounts on display in the gallery. Visitors will love her flying squirrels, muskrats, arctic hares, hawks, owls, wolf and many more beautiful art pieces!
